Jewels Hartnell is well seasoned in the art of DJing. Playing professionally for over ten years after first being welcomed as one of Londons most exciting new school female DJs, her music has taken her around the world. Her taste for spinning eclectic sets make her a powerful complement at many events. Classics from the 80s and 90s, Lounge and Colonial, Deep House and Nu Disco are just a handful of genres used in her colourful performances.
It was the late nineties when Jewels got a set of 1210s and most weekends she’d be heading to London’s best record shops. A dedicated vinyl pursuit began and having already been musically hooked since the ’80s, she began searching out those old tunes and all that she’d missed along the way.
After first being asked to play out by industry friends some time later, Jewels found herself armed with an impressive collection of vinyl and a serious intention to develop began. Launching her own night at London's EGG Club, followed by her vinyl only old skool parties at House Of Wolf Islington, Jewels was hosting regular shows on radio. Her first co-produced EP signed to Audio Rehab with critically acclaimed ‘Blessings’ following closely behind. Now playing internationally after a debut residency in Shanghai China, Jewels has since enjoyed bookings in Goa India, Greece and Ibiza.
Jewels has an extensive musical background and along with her professional and sincere manner, an impressive line-up of gigs behind her playing for brands such as Diageo, Pandora, Goodwood Festival of Speed and SEAT. 5 Star Hotel Bars include The Coral Room, K West and Mandarin Oriental.
